 Biography | Resume EXPERIENCE May 1995 - Present McKay Chadwell, PLLC Firm is principally involved in complex civil and criminal litigation in both federal and state courts. April 1993 - April 1995 Partner Lane Powell Spears Lubersky Seattle, Washington Served as a partner in the commercial litigation department of the third largest law firm in Washington state. Was lead attorney on all matters containing criminal law issues. Represented corporations and officers in very sensitive government investigations on both federal and local levels. Sept. 1989 - April 1993 United States Attorney Western District of Washington Presidentially appointed United States Attorney, serving during the administration of President George Herbert Walker Bush. Supervised all cases on both the civil and criminal side of an office containing fifty Assistant United States Attorneys in two different cities. These cases included U.S. v. Weyerhaeuser (Clean Water Act violations), U.S. v. Burns, et al. (cross-burning cases, in coordination with DOJ Civil Rights Division), U.S. v. Boeing (defense contractor fraud), U.S. v. Arctic-Alaska (arising out of the sinking of the factory trawler in the Aleutians), U.S. v. Meling (Sudafed tampering murders), and U.S. v. Eichman (flag burning case reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court). Appointed by the Attorney General of the United States to serve on the Attorney General's Advisory Committee (AGAC), serving as Vice-Chair from 1991 to 1992. Dec. 1981 - Aug. 1989 McKay & Gaitan Seattle, Washington Served as managing partner of a law firm that grew to 21 lawyers. Represented companies and corporate officers in civil and criminal matters. These cases involved the WPPSS bond litigation and asbestos product liability cases.
