and officers in very sensitive government investigations on both

Presidentially appointed United States Attorney, serving during
the administration of President George Herbert Walker Bush. Supervised
all cases on both the civil and criminal side of an office containing
fifty Assistant United States Attorneys in two different cities.
These cases included U.S. v. Weyerhaeuser (Clean Water Act violations),
U.S. v. Burns, et al. (cross-burning cases, in coordination with
DOJ Civil Rights Division), U.S. v. Boeing (defense contractor
fraud), U.S. v. Arctic-Alaska (arising out of the sinking of the
factory trawler in the Aleutians), U.S. v. Meling (Sudafed tampering
murders), and U.S. v. Eichman (flag burning case reviewed by the
U.S. Supreme Court). Appointed by the Attorney General of the United
States to serve on the Attorney General's Advisory Committee (AGAC),
serving as Vice-Chair from 1991 to 1992.
